Lutheran Braille Workers exists to show the love of God to people with visual disabilities and bring them into a growing relationship with Him. Lutheran Braille Workers is the largest Christian ministry in the world that provides Braille and specialized Large Print Bibles free of charge for people who are Blind or Visually Impaired. Thanks to an army of volunteers and thousands of generous partners who financially support this ministry, Lutheran Braille Workers is able to get the Word of God into the hands of people who are Blind or Visually Impaired at no expense to them.

Because the government is encroaching more and more into the arena of the Church and its work, and Gods people have a role not only in sharing the Gospel, but in helping society/culture in being humane, civil, and temporally just. (see Jeremiah 29:11ff) Were in D.C. to be an EDUCATING resource for our Churches, Schools, Universities, pastors, and laypeople - Why? Because Christians more and more need be prepared to engage public issues for the sake of the community and the Gospel. Were in D.C. to be an ENCOURAGING support for those who are already working very hard on the Hill to protect our religious Liberty, to protect and promote the sanctity of life, to guard the basic protections for traditional marriage, to promote the value of private and parochial education.

LCEF, incorporated in 1978, is a continuation of the Synod's service to the entire LCMS. Congregations, ministries and schools gain funds for building, upgrading or remodeling facilities, and rostered church workers secured reasonable housing and consolidation loans. LCEF partners with more than 50,000 investors to make the funds available for these loans. Together, these partnerships have resulted in a total asset portfolio of $1.8 billion.
