Light and Data Films (LAD) was founded in early 2015 by Charles Tutton and Robert Letizi with a view to making a feature-length documentary about Australia and Indigenous painting. In many respects this project is the culmination of years of academic engagement with the film medium – Charles in ethnographic and digital cinema and Robert in the experience of sound, music, and the film image. We are keenly aware of the potential of cinema to communicate ideas that are often difficult to account for in other ways. This very rare quality means that at its best the medium is unavoidably an inspiring and illuminating art form due to its capacity to transcend our everyday experience. We would like to contribute to this tradition by producing films that offer intellectually meaningful perspectives while also realising an aesthetic vision that will sustain a powerful emotional engagement We are here to give rise to an ambitious project that we hope will travel down the pathway of the great filmmakers and films that we have admired. We hope that this website and the content that we generate for it will begin this process and also extend this pathway into new directions.

Our Story At Light Art VR, we celebrate movers and shakers—avant-gardes of their field. For this reason, we approached the virtual reality industry with nothing less than true innovation. We noticed a void in the VR market, and we sought out to fill it. No VR program has tapped into one of the richest parts of history, until now. What we’ve created is a one-of-a-kind experience that takes our viewers 1,400 years back to pre-Islamic Mecca, before Prophet Muhammad’s first revelation. Our revolutionary project “Mecca: A Journey Through Time” is a seven-minute immersive experience that explores the ins and outs of the world’s greatest hub, then and now. Equipped with crisp 8k Resolution picture and a sensory stimuli in our adventure ride (motion, scent, and sound), we’ve created a way for the curious to engage with an era in a way that truly excites. Undoubtedly, it is a must see for all with an affinity for historical exploration. Our future is just as bright, with many additional title adventures in the works.

Light Blue Optics (LBO) is a developer of collaboration solutions for education, training and corporate markets, with offices in San Mateo, CA and Cambridge, UK. LBO's new product, Kaptivo, is a dry-erase whiteboard accessory that attaches to any board, converting it into a cloud-connected online digital surface which can be shared securely, live, with anyone in the world. Kaptivo solves the problem of sharing whiteboard-based work with off-site workers or e-learning/webinar participants, while automatically recording whiteboarding sessions so theres no need for anyone to split their attention between the meeting and manual note-taking.
