Oppå dette legges Asmussens tekst om et kjærlighetsmøte som går i stå, med ytre tilknytning til konsertsitusjonen. Når teksten låter, går liksom musikken i svart og blir bakgrunn, eller lydkulisse som i et gammeldags melodrama. Uforløst Teksten på sin side har innvevd smertetråder av uinnløst lengsel. Men de løper liksom ut i ingenting, på grunn av de liksom-kunstferdige forsøkene på å veve smerte-erfaringene inn i handlingen i konsertsalen. Eller for å si det som det er: som musikkdramatikk blir «Sounds Like You» et postulat. Og går helt i oppløsning i de patetiske forsøkene mot slutten på å få musikerne ned fra podiet. Og så var det alt for mye rusk på instrumentgruppenivå. Det tåler ikke Rosenkavaleren.
