Data fra medicin.dk er integreret i danske hospitalers it-systemer, i ca. 50 kommuners omsorgssystemer og i praktiserende lægers lægesystemer. Informationen findes både til sundhedsfaglige fx læger, farmaceuter, sygeplejersker og farmakonomer, og til borgere. Informationen til borgere er skrevet på helt almindeligt dansk. Medicin.dk har mere end 5 mio. sidevisninger pr måned. Medicin.dk udarbejdes af mere end 250 lægefaglige forfattere og referenter udpeget af de Lægevidenskabelige selskaber. Redaktionen består af fire klinisk aktive læger. Redaktionssekretærfunktionen varetages af farmaceuter. Medicin.dk ejes af af Dansk Lægemiddel Information A/S, der har adresse i Life Science Huset på Lersø Parkallé 101 i København. Det er også her sekretariatet sidder.
