Mercedes Benz Otomotiv Ticaret ve Hizmetler A.Ş. 31.12.2019 itibarıyla Türk Ticaret Kanunu kısmi bölünme sonucu Mercedes-Benz marka hafif ticari araç ve Daimler AG çatısı altındaki tüm otomobil markalarının ithalat ve satışından sorumlu olarak faaliyetlerine başlamıştır. 1967’den 2020 yılına kadar Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. bünyesinde gerçekleşen hafif ticari araçlar ve otomobil markalarının satış ve ithalat faaliyetleri, Daimler AG’nin tüm dünyada başlattığı yeni yapılandırma süreci ile paralel olarak 09.04.2019 tarihinde kurulmuş olan Mercedes Benz Otomotiv Ticaret ve Hizmetler A.Ş.’ye devredilmiştir. Bu yeni yapılandırma stratejisi kapsamında otomobil ve hafif ticari araçlar ile kamyon ve otobüs ürün gruplarının faaliyetlerine iki ayrı şirket yapısı altında devam etme kararı alınmıştır. Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv, 31.12.2019 itibarıyla faaliyete geçmiş ve Mercedes-Benz marka hafif ticari araç ve Daimler AG çatısı altındaki tüm otomobil markalarının ithalat, satış ve pazarlama faaliyetlerini yürütmeye başlamıştır. Daimler AG’nin 2013 yılında küresel IT stratejisi kapsamında Türkiye’yi bilgi teknolojileri üslerinden biri olarak konumlandırmasıyla İstanbul’da faaliyetlerine başlayan Küresel IT Çözümleri Merkezi (Solution Delivery Center Turkey) de 31.12.2019 itibarıyla Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv bünyesinde faaliyetlerini sürdürmeye başlamıştır. Küresel IT Çözümleri Merkezi bugün tüm dünyada 40’tan fazla ülkeye 7/24 IT hizmeti vermektedir. Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv, bugün 450 personeli istihdam etmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra ülke çapındaki bayi ve satış sonrası hizmetler ağında yaklaşık 900 kişi çalışmaktadır.
