MerciBOOKoup is a non-profit organization founded last February by two book lovers. Our goal is threefold: giving everyone access to books, promoting a circular economy by saving resources (such as trees, energy, water and financial means), and promoting social ties. We achieve this by (1.) organizing monthly book exchange parties at locations that are socially and environmentally responsible in Paris and Eindhoven, (2.) building and installing bookcases made from recycled wood with volunteers, (3.) developing a website for completely free peer-to-peer book exchange. This year we aim to expand our activities in France and the Netherlands.
