Mercy Ships is an international medical aid organisation dedicated to making surgical care accessible since 1978. Mercy Ships uses the world's largest private hospital ships, the Africa Mercy, and the Global Mercy to do this. Our ships are filled with volunteer doctors, nurses, maritime staff and volunteers in more than 100 other roles. Together, they are committed to making healthcare accessible by providing free surgeries and training, bringing hope and healing.

With the lack of affordable housing, unemployment and poverty in Clay County, many people are but one or two paychecks away from being in circumstantial crisis. Mercy Support Services was founded in 2012 to address these needs at the source and help prevent a person or family from continuing a downward spiral. Working in collaboration with churches and other non-profit agencies, we help Clay County families in crisis by surrounding them with the necessary supports that most effectively promote independence. Mercy Support Services provides valuable resources and referrals to clients for housing, shelter, training programs, food, childcare and other supports within our internal programs and related available resources.

Mercy University Hospital (MUH) was established by the Mercy Order in 1857 as a 40-bed hospital staffed by four Sisters. Today, the hospital has 300+ beds, employs approximately 1,000 staff and has an annual budget of approximately €90m. MUH offers a wide range of specialities which provide inpatient, day patient and outpatient services along with a 24/7 emergency department and an urgent care centre which is located on St. Mary’s Health Campus.

Located in Erie, Pennsylvania, and founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1926, Mercyhurst University is a fully accredited, four-year, Catholic, comprehensive institution ranked in the top tier of Best Universities (North Region) by U.S. News & World Report. Mercyhurst offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and concentrations, as well as unique adult programs and 13 master’s degree programs.
