The Mill City Farmers Market is a year-round farmers market that was founded in June 2006 by Brenda Langton, in collaboration with the Mill City Museum. With over 100 local farmers, small businesses, and artisans, we strive to build a local, sustainable, and organic food economy in a vibrant, educational marketplace. The outdoor market is located next to the Guthrie Theatre on 2nd Street S. and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis Downtown East neighborhood. We are lucky to have our indoor winter markets inside the historic Mill City Museum. In addition to delicious local food, MCFM is proud to offer cooking demonstrations with professional chefs, engaging childrens activities, adult education on seasonal produce, live music, and much more at each of our markets. Mill City Grows' mission is to improve physical health, economic independence and environmental sustainability in Lowell through increased access to land, locally grown food and education. Mill City Grows (MCG) has been working on innovative ways to combat food injustice in Lowell, Massachusetts since 2011. We pursue this mission through the following strategies and programs: education both in and out of schools, supporting community leadership through community gardens, increasing urban agriculture in Lowell through two urban farms, implementing a mobile market, and empowering people to produce their own food. MCG’s two main program areas are Food Access and Food Education. Our work in Food Justice is rooted in the idea that a well-educated community will make healthier choices.

Our mission is to provide park, recreational, and open space facilities of regional significance. In fulfilling this mission our objectives are: To be responsive to community needs, To be environmentally sound, To be adaptable, and To be economically feasible. Mill Creek Park was established in 1891 by Volney Rogers as the first park district in Ohio. Mill Creek Park is the largest area of the MetroParks encompassing 2,882 acres of the MetroParks’ 4,400 acres. Recreation opportunities include hiking, biking, boating, fishing, golf, tennis, volleyball, picnicking, cross country skiing, sledding, and much more. Mill Creek Park offers 20 miles of drives and 15 miles of foot trails. Mill Creek flows through the Park in a northerly direction supplying water to three lakes. Mill Creek Park extends along the Mill Creek Valley from Western Reserve Road to the confluence of Mill Creek and the Mahoning River. The northern section of Mill Creek Park includes Lanterman’s Falls and the Mill Creek Gorge. This area offers breathtaking views with its cascading waters, steep hillsides beautifully covered with deciduous and evergreen trees, bold sandstone outcroppings, and numerous grass-covered meadows. South of the gorge the land is rolling and partly wooded. Since voters approved converting to Mill Creek MetroParks in 1989, park lands have continued to enhance life in the community.
