Die 1992 von sechs grossen Schweizer Hilfswerken gegründete Max Havelaar-Stiftung (Schweiz) ist eine Non-Profit-Organisation, die in der Schweiz das Fairtrade-Label für nachhaltig angebaute und fair gehandelte Produkte vergibt. Als Mitglied von Fairtrade International verbessert Max Havelaar durch fairen Handel die Lebensbedingungen von Kleinbauern und Plantagenarbeiterinnen in Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländern, betreibt aber selbst keinen Handel. Hauptaufgaben der Max Havelaar-Stiftung sind die Schaffung von Marktzugang für Fairtrade-Produkte sowie die Informations- und Sensibilisierungsarbeit für den fairen Handel in der Schweiz. Rund 1,6 Millionen Bauern und Arbeiterinnen in Lateinamerika, Afrika und Asien sind in das Fairtrade-System eingebunden.

The Max Havelaar Foundation works with businesses, civil society organizations and other stakeholders in the Netherlands to improve the position of producer organizations in the South and to help them achieve sustainable improvements for their members and their communities. For the past several years I've experienced some of the toughest recruitment environments there is. First, in a small virtual reality innovation lab in Japan. I discovered talent from all around the globe, end-goal always being relocation to Japan. The positions ranged from interns to senior developers, and were highly focused on rare technical skill-sets. Second, I worked in a hyper-growth unicorn company were speed was everything. Working in Japan as well, but mainly in Scandinavia, scaling the team in the highest-growing enterprise software company in the world. I truly enjoy job search and recruitment, and I really want to help applicants and startups to find each other.
