As a homegrown, locally owned full-service cooperative, Northern Partners Cooperative (NPC) has been rooted in the community from the very beginning. Our goal is to continually work to grow customer value and cooperative strength within the community we all share. NPC is a business owned and controlled by the people who use it, and operates for the mutual benefit of the patrons. NPC was organized to strengthen the bargaining power of its owners, to maintain access to competitive markets for the products produced by its owners, and to manage risk of its owners. NPC returns earnings on a patronage basis. Such patronage dividends help boost the income of members directly or by reducing the effective cost of the goods and services provided. NPC is governed by a board of directors elected by our members - based on one person one vote rather than on the basis of shares or percent ownership as in other types of businesses. This provides for a unique accountability. We know that a business or farming operation requires hard work and dedication. Northern Recycling Solutions (NRS) was established in January 2006 and prides its self in being a customer focused business providing high quality waste management, recycling, confidential waste, and consultancy services in the North of Scotland. No job is too big or too small. We offer one off or regular skip services, wheelie bins collections, waste clearance, hazardous waste uplifts, confidential shredding, disposal and recycling of most materials. Our purpose built, waste management licenced facility is fully equipment to handle, sorting, baling and storing of recyclable materials, skip and wheelie bin collection and processing services, and high security confidential shredding. Other services include food waste, hazardous waste services, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and textile recycling. The company is owed and managed by brother and sister team Ewan and Katie Calder. NRS has the accreditations ISO9001, ISO14001 and hold the CHAS health and safety certification. Our facilities is a SEPA Waste Management Licensed premises, number WML/L/11087740 and we are a registered waste carrier SCO/046660.
