Northwest Anesthesia Seminars was founded over 35 years ago with the primary objective of offering high quality continuing education seminars for the anesthesia provider. This remains our principal objective today and our programs are designed to keep you current in the practice of anesthesiology while at the same time providing a forum for professional exchange with your colleagues from around the world. Northwest Area Education Agency (AEA) is a regional agency that provides school improvement services for students, teachers and administrators, and early childhood services. The agency is an educational partner with 34 public school districts and 33 accredited, private schools in a 10-county area of northwest Iowa (Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Cherokee, Woodbury, Ida, Monona, and Crawford), serving nearly 45,000 students. Northwest AEA staff, schools and families work together to help all children reach their potential. As an intermediate agency, Northwest AEA offers the kinds of services that can be provided most equitably, efficiently and economically on a regional or cooperative basis among school districts. Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter (NWACS) is a private, non-profit organization that provides 24-hour residential, emergency triage care for children throughout Arkansas who are victims of abandonment, abuse, or neglect. Our mission is to provide these children in crisis with a safe haven, high-quality care, and hope for the future. The programs we employ to achieve our mission are: o Emergency Care/Case Management Program o On-Site School and Education Program o Sophia Scott Expanding Horizons (Activities) Program o Nutrition Program Our programs collectively meet the child’s immediate needs of food, shelter and safety and also provide lasting benefits, through self-esteem building, hope and education. Since opening our doors in 1993, the Children’s Shelter has cared for more than 13,000 children from throughout the state of Arkansas.
