renewables & environment
Located in Glomfjord in Northern Norway, Norwegian Crystals (NCR) has access to clean hydropower, glacier cooling water, and a skilled workforce with a rich tradition in the solar industry value chain. Norway has one of the lowest power prices in Europe and produces electricity with the lowest carbon intensity – the perfect location for us to manufacture high-quality and cost-efficient monocrystalline silicon crystal products (ingots, bricks and wafers). The key component of solar panels is the monocrystalline silicon wafer and, it is the quality of the crystal that determines the efficiency of an entire PV-system. Our products are made with an ultra-low carbon footprint. In fact, our monocrystalline ingots are trademarked!! ULCF-Si™. Embracing a strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework, NCR does not, and will not, source any feedstock from areas accused of social transgressions. Currently at 0.5 GWp/y production of its ultra-low carbon footprint ingots, our goal is to grow and establish a competitive production capacity in Glomfjord of 10 GWp per year. We look forward to bringing more partnership investors onboard. Follow us to remain updated as NCR continues this exciting journey.
