NSL Sugars started in 2003. It produces Sugar in India within its five factories in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana. The factories are integrated complexes producing sugar, co-generation of electricity and ethanol. The current Total Crushing capacity is 31500 TCD

Vom Kanton zur Privatwirtschaft Mit der Neugestaltung des Finanzausgleiches und der Aufgabenteilung zwischen Bund und Kantonen (NFA) wurde der Bund mit Stichtag 1. Januar 2008 Eigentümer der Nationalstrassen. Für die Sicherstellung des Betriebes und Unterhaltes wurden Kantone oder spezielle Trägerschaften, sogenannte Gebietseinheiten gebildet und beauftragt. Die Kantone AG, BL und SO haben dafür die Firma NSNW AG (Nationalstrassen Nordwestschweiz) gegründet. Das Personal und die Infrastruktur der ehemaligen Autobahnwerkhöfe wurden in dieses Unternehmen integriert. Die beteiligten Kantone sind Eigentümerinnen der NSNW. Hauptauftraggeberin ist das Bundesamt für Strassen ASTRA.
