The New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry is the state chamber of commerce. We serve as the legislative advocate of business interests throughout the state, and the New Mexico representative of the National Association of Manufacturers. The New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty’s mission is to advance economic and social justice through education, advocacy, and litigation. We work with low-income New Mexicans to improve living conditions, increase opportunities, and protect the rights of people living in poverty. Underlying our mission is a vision of New Mexico without poverty, where all peoples’ basic human rights are met, including the rights to food, housing, healthcare, a living wage, education, and equal access to justice. The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) works to achieve a coordinated local, regional, and statewide response to domestic violence. The Coalition members, affiliates, and supporters are committed to ending domestic violence in New Mexico. The Coalition serves as a clearinghouse for information and referrals. We collaborate with agencies and advocates in the areas of program development, public policy, education and funding proposals. Vision: The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence aspires to a world free of violence and oppression. Mission: The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides statewide leadership as a voice for victims and survivors of domestic violence and the programs that serve them. We advocate for positive social change, provide training, build alliances, secure resources and develop public policy to eliminate domestic violence.

The New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) works to: ============================================= * promote local food and agriculture * protect the health of large and small animals * ensure high-quality dairy products * advocate for farmers and ranchers’ reliance upon natural resources * promote the approved use of agricultural inputs like plant seeds and fertilizer; and * ensure fairness in the marketplace for both producer and consumer. Our Mission NMDA benefits the public by promoting the viability and advancement of New Mexico agriculture and affiliated industries. Our Vision NMDA promotes a fair marketplace, food protection, marketing, and economic development; supports the beneficial use and conservation of natural resources; and works cooperatively with the public and private sectors. Though our presence is statewide, NMDA is New Mexico's only Cabinet agency located outside of Santa Fe. Our main office is in Las Cruces on the campus of New Mexico State University. Few know that the university -- whose origins are agricultural in nature -- was founded more than two decades prior to statehood. That's why when the New Mexico State Constitution was penned, its writers called for “a department of agriculture [under] the board of regents of the college of agriculture and mechanic arts.” The collaborative relationship that language created still exists today.
