The Universiade is a multidisciplinary sport event addressed to university students from all over the world. For relevance and number of participants, Summer Universiade is just second to Olympic Games and it is considered more important than Winter Olympic Games. This event, over the years, acquired the distinguished features of an international sport and cultural festival. The word “Universiade” is the combination of the Italian words “Università” and “Olimpiade”, it includes one of the most relevant concepts of sport: universality. The Universiade, in its modern form, was created by the Italian sport manager Primo Nebiolo, who organized the first edition in Torino in 1959 and it is staged every two years in a different city. Thanks to the Italian Government, who supported the candidacy, and to the cooperation of the Italian Universities, the CUSI (Italian Sport Universitary Center) and the CONI (Italian Olympic Commitee), Regione Campania obtained the appointment by the FISU on 5th March 2016. Napoli is the third Italian city for population size and it is known all over the world for its historical-cultural heritage, its breathtaking natural beauties and its surrounding districts. Furthermore, Napoli and Campania Region can boast a great sport tradition: very important athletes, born in Campania, inspired people’s life, their daily habits and culture.

Jamaica Coffee Company’s founder, Paul Murphy has a long history of working closely with some of Italy’s best known Artisan Food & Wine producers and opened the first unit in March 2000 T/A, Il Caffe di Napoli’ a quintessential Italian Restaurant & Caffe on Westland Row Dublin, Situated close to the Trinity College Campus, Merrion Square Business District, Government Buildings and the National Gallery of Ireland, Since our maiden opening in 2000 we have worked with many large institutions and company’s one of the first and most interesting was trinity college Dublin Napoli first partnered with Trinity College’ Dublin in the Trinity Technology & Enterprise Centre on Grand Canal Quay Dublin, with the opening of a bespoke Caffe / Restaurant unit in the historic Main Tower Building, Due to the success of this Caffe unit we were invited by Trinity College to tender for the operation of the World’s First Science Gallery on Pearse Street Dublin, a significant part of this process was firstly to understand the aims and ethos of the new Science Gallery We quickly recognized the need for a new type of restaurant that allowed for both social gatherings and as a meeting place for students and professionals to discuss and share ideas attracting a broad range of people of all ages, Later we were invited to partner with Irish Rail in developing some bespoke Caffe Units for the then expanding Dart / Luas Lines, Il Caffe Di Napoli has over time exceeded all of our original expectations.
