Local Government Common Services (LGCS) is a joint venture between several Councils in Southern Tasmania. LGCS was setup to provide under resourced Councils with the ability to provide quality, equitable service provision to their communities and to enable Councils to realise savings through increased uitilisation of staff. The way it works: Councils with a gap in human resources or skill shortage have the ability to hire suitably qualified and experienced professionals from other participating Councils. This service is facilitated and managed by Local Government Professional Services. LGCS provides Client Councils with ability to acquire specialist skills to deliver a higher level of service, than would ordinarily be possible, without the associated financial risk of hiring additional permanent staff. LGCS also enables Provider Councils with the ability to increase the utilisation of their employees and earn additional revenue for their respective organisations. The State of Florida is divided into 20 geographical areas known as Judicial Circuits. Each circuit has an elected State Attorney. The 20th Judicial Circuit, formed in 1969, consists of five counties: Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee. It is the largest circuit, geographically, in the state.
