Oltalom Sports Association (OSA) has been using sport as an innovative tool of education for over ten years now. We have, so far, assisted more than one thousand disadvantaged people to do their best both physically and intellectually at the regular and free trainings we held throughout the year. We use sport as an instrument to involve our sportspeople in other supporting services such as labour market services, further education, learning of the English language and social work. Regular physical activity and team-play preserves health, has an effect of crime- and drug-prevention, builds and strengthens community, offers goals and provides strength in everyday life thus promoting the development of our target group. We put special emphasis on our sportspeople playing together with other groups of society. Our Associations activities are based on the principles of fair play, tolerance and social inclusion. We organize Fair Play Football Roadshow tournaments using the so-called football3 rules. It is on the football pitch, a place favoured by many, that we endeavour to bring together people coming from different social groups. Dispensing the referee and his/her whistle and with the help of qualified mediators we offer an opportunity for forming rules together and accepting joint decisions and common responsibility as something of our own. Our team has been participating at numerous international street soccer and fair play football tournaments such as the Homeless World Cup and the European Fair Play Championship.
