We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free wheelchair and scooter cleaning for United States military veterans. Founded by veterans for veterans. The majority of veterans confined to a mobility device, such as a wheelchair or scooter, have to spend some, most, or all of their time in their wheelchair or scooter. In a sense, their mobility device is their home--for waking, sleeping, eating, and all other daily activities and bodily functions. Not only do veterans have to constantly handle the upkeep of this "home," they also have to deal with potentially harmful ongoing bacteria and pathogen buildup on their wheelchair or scooter. Most veterans rely on a family member or caretaker for this cleaning. Veterans run the risk of their devices being improperly or insufficiently cleaned. Most mobility devices simply do not get cleaned at all. Unfortunately, many veterans with dirty or improperly cleaned wheelchairs and scooters also run the risk of spreading built-up pathogens and contaminants. Since doctors offices and hospitals are places veterans visit frequently for treatments, checkups, etc, this creates a particularly dangerous threat for these places or for any other place the veteran goes with his or her device. To alleviate the burden and stress of cleaning mobility devices, Operation Clean Machine offers free Cleaning Clinics for veterans with wheelchairs and scooters. We believe each and every veteran deserves a clean "home."

Operation Delta Dog was founded in 2013 in an attempt to alleviate the epidemic of veteran suicides and overflowing animal shelters at the same time. Working with experienced trainers and positive-reinforcement methods, we rescue homeless dogs from Massachusetts shelters and breed-rescue groups and train them to work as service dogs with local veterans who are suffering with PTSD and TBI. Assistance animals are a practical and successful way to reduce stress, treat depression, and manage the panic attacks associated with PTSD and TBI. Trained dogs, however, are in short supply--especially here in New England. A local veteran applying for a PTSD service dog will likely have to travel to the West Coast for training and will wait, on average, two to five years before being matched with an animal. In far too many cases, this is simply too late. Our veterans deserve better. Operation Delta Dog wants to improve those odds. Our trainers find the very best canine candidates, pluck them from shelters, and train them for a new life filled with purpose and affection. Local veterans can participate in training without leaving their jobs or families and find relief from the debilitating symptoms of PTSD, TBI and other challenges. The dogs get the homes they need, and the veterans get the help they deserve!

Our programs build optimism, belonging, hope and social and emotional wellbeing through a focus on Resilience, Purpose and Connection. We are unique and proven, and to date, over 10,000 young people have experienced our adventure therapy programs. The Foundation’s Core Program is held over 8 days in the northern Flinders Ranges for young people aged 13 – 18 who come from all across South Australia and are typically referred to Operation Flinders as part of a team of 10 from one school or agency. During the Core Program, young people can trek up to 100km, experience abseiling, Indigenous culture, bushcraft and build self-confidence through challenging themselves.
