The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation directly serving at-risk children and families in crisis to prevent and break the generational cycle of child abuse. We value every childs right to grow up in a safe and nurturing home environment. Our programs provide critically needed parenting education, case management, and mental health services to families at-risk of abuse in their own homes. Our programs work with parents to create healthier environments for children, ultimately building stronger families. By providing families with the tools and education they need to build nurturing homes, we are breaking the generational cycle of abuse. One child at a time, one family at a time, we are creating stronger families and healthier communities.

Orange County Coastkeeper (Coastkeeper) is a nonprofit clean water organization that serves as a proactive steward of our fresh- and saltwater ecosystems. We work collaboratively with diverse groups in the public and private sectors to achieve healthy, accessible, and sustainable water resources for the region. We implement innovative, effective programs in education, advocacy, restoration, research, enforcement, and conservation.

OCCHC/SteppingUP's mission is to transition extremely low income families towards greater self sufficiency by assisting them with housing and education. Its founding in 1977 was based on the principle that our low-wage families deserve safe housing and safe neighborhoods so that their children would have the same education benefits as those from more affluent neighborhoods.

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 450​,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to stu​dents through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment.

As one of the largest medical societies in the United States, the Orange County Medical Association (OCMA) keeps a close eye on changes in health care, serving a “watchdog” role on local, state, and national legislation as it affects medicine. Today, health care consumers are bombarded with varying ideas about health care, bioethics, health planning, emergency services and reimbursement policies. OCMA has established committees to study these and other current health care concerns. OCMA provides physicians with the opportunity to keep in contact with each other, discuss new technologies, exchange clinical information, and learn of the environmental changes in medical care that are sweeping the nation. OCMA is a local chapter of the California Medical Association (CMA), under the national umbrella of the American Medical Association (AMA).
