In Pakistan, 40% of all diseases are linked to kidneys, bladder and urinary tract or the liver. The centre will also impart training to specialist doctors, nurses and paramedics in this field. PKLI&RC, after its completion in 2017, will be one of the bigger transplant centers in the world. It will not only provide free of cost medical services to the poor, but will also provide employment to some 5000 persons, including training for doctors, nurses and paramedics. This highly trained human resource will not only benefit the health care industry locally, but will also be a much sought after resource outside the country. PKLI&RC will be a facility with 800 beds (extendable to 1500 beds), a100 bed emergency centre, a 100 bed ICU, a 100 beds outpatient dialysis facility, 500-bed in-patient facility, 20 operating rooms & 10 same day surgery suites. PKLI is situated on a 50-acre plot in the Lahore Knowledge City in between DHA phase 6 and Bedian Road. PKLI&RC is managed by an independent Board, which has representation from the Government and the Private Sector. This visionary project is not the preserve of a few individuals, it is YOUR project - A project of the people of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Navy (PN) Dockyard, since its inception in 1952, has been undertaking repair works, modernisation and rebuild of Pakistan Navy Ships, Submarines and Crafts. Pakistan Navy Dockyard is providing technical assistance, rebuild and repair of a wide range and diversity of equipment of PN Fleet and has undertaken fleet modernisation and up gradation programmes with success. PN Dockyard has developed the capability to undertake ambitious and indigenous construction projects like the production of Missiles Boats, Mines Counter Measure Vessel (MCMV) and AGOSTA 90-B Submarine. It was engaged in more than a billion dollar project of MODP for construction of Agosta 90-B submarines with the help of France. Submarine Construction in Pakistan Navy is a continuation of the naval construction efforts, which started in Pakistan Navy Dockyard in 1971 for self-reliance and indigenisation. It includes construction of floating docks, missile boats, X-Craft submarines and MCMVs. PN Dockyard had 30 years of repair & maintenance experience of DAPHNE and AGOSTA 70 submarines prior undertaking Meta construction project of AGOSTA-90B submarines in 1994.

Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd is a world-class supplier of purified terephthalic acid, an essential raw material used in the polyester industry. Lotte, the South Korean conglomerate, acquired the majority shareholdings in Pakistan PTA Limited (PPTA) in September 2009. Subsequently, the name of the Company was changed to Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd. Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd is the single largest foreign direct investment to date (US$ 490 million) in Pakistan’s petrochemical industry. The plant at Port Qasim, Karachi was built using ICI’s state-of-the-art technology when it was commissioned in 1998. It produces Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), an essential raw material for Pakistan’s textile and PET packaging industries and forms the backbone of the polyester chain, including Polyester Staple Fibre, Filament Yarn and PET (bottle grade) resin. The PTA plant was constructed in 1996/97 and started production in June 1998. Since 2002 the plant has operated above its nameplate capacity of 400,000 tons per annum and following minor de-bottlenecking and process improvements, is capable of ramping that up to 500,000 tons per annum. The company maintains its competitive edge by virtue of being a local manufacturer and major supplier for the domestic Polyester and PET industries with short delivery times, consistent quality and excellent customer service.

We are the first and yet the only registered scrabble club in Pakistan, having our registered office at the Beach Luxury Hotel, M.T Khan Road, Karachi, Pakistan. We are in existance for over two decades now. It all started in 1989 when the American Center Karachi Organized the first Scrabble Championship. That proved to be the launching pad for PSA. Our President Mrs. Goshpi Avari is the driving force behind this organization. She gathered all the Scrabble lovers of Pakistan on one platform and threw open the doors of The Beach Luxury Hotel which she owns. Today it is hard to think of Scrabble sans Goshpi or Beach Luxury Hotel. PSA organizes about 12 tournaments every year including the National Championship And the Interschool Tournament
