The main objective of the Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant (Paks II. Ltd.) is to prepare the construction of the new nuclear power plant units of Paks, obtain the necessary licenses, carry out the investment and then operate the new units. The Paks II. project will make a significant contribution to the growth of the national economy and to maintaining a secure, affordable and climate-friendly electricity supply for Hungary. A Paks II. Atomerőmű Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság (Paks II. Zrt.) fő célja az új paksi telephelyű atomerőművi blokkok létesítésének előkészítése, a szükséges engedélyek beszerzése, a beruházás lebonyolítása, majd az új blokkok üzemeltetése. A Paks II. projekt jelentősen hozzájárul a nemzetgazdaság növekedéséhez, illetve Magyarország biztonságos, megfizethető árú és klímabarát villamosenergia-ellátásának fenntartásához.

In the XX. century, the Paks Nuclear Power Plant was the biggest industrial innovation of Hungary. After completing the capacity upgrade of all units the nominal power of the NPP reached 2,000 MW. With this, Paks NPP has a leading role in Hungarian energetics: it takes part of more than 40 % in national energy production. In 2009, the four units produced 15,427 GWh electric energy. The sell-out price of generated electricity was only 10.67 HUF/kWh in 2009, which is the cheapest value in Hungary.The nuclear power plants are the more environmental-friend solution for energy production, according to other types of power plants. It is not emitting carbon-dioxide, so it can spare as much oxigen in a year, as consumptioned by 2 million people. This measure is equal the oxigen production of all hungarian woods. Therefore, Paks NPP is essential for Hungary in national energetics, in environment protection and in economy as well.

Paktiawal Architects is a Bulgarian design and architecture studio established in 2005 and is based in Sofia. The people behind the studio are arch. Elena Paktiawal and arch. Farid Paktiawal. Along with a team of young professionals and innovators they have created a beacon of strong professionalism, innovation and fresh ideas over the last couple of years. The studio implements large public building projects of importance for the image of the city Sofia. Among some of the renown projects done by the studio are the metro station Musagenitsa and the metro station Mladost 1, but also the metro stations NDK and Св. Наум and the subway underground passage for the University of Sofia. In 2009 arch. Elena Paktiawal and arch. Farid Paktiawal received the prestigious Building of the year award for the beautifully designed metro station Musagenitsa.
