In 2005 is Positive Touch opgezet door Iljitsj van Kessel en Renate Pico met als doel mensen de ruimte te bieden om zich te ontwikkelen als integraal en holistisch masseur. Het uitgangspunt daarbij was: werken met de mens als geheel. Een integrale massage wordt vorm gegeven vanuit het vier lichamen model waarbij steeds sprake is van fysiek, mentaal, emotionele en spirituele dimensies. Al deze lagen zijn in iemand met elkaar verbonden. Zo bezien staan spanningen of klachten in het lichaam altijd in verband met andere aspecten in iemands leven. Het lichaam druk, om het zo te zeggen, als het ware iets uit. Vanuit de methodiek van integrale en holistische massage waarmee bij bij Positive Touch dan ook leert werken zijn spanningen of klachten dan ook de taal van het lichaam om met je te communiceren dat het ergens aandacht behoeft. Het gaat er in onze werkwijze dan ook niet om deze spanningen of klachten te bestrijden of zo snel mogelijk weg te krijgen maar juist om deze er even helemaal te laten zijn en er contact mee te maken. Contact te maken met hun verborgen taal, met mogelijke emoties die daaronder nog aanwezig zijn of met gevoelens, herinneringen of diepere (ziels-) kwaliteiten van iemand, die om wat voor een reden dan ook nog niet actief mogen zijn. Integrale en holistische massage is erop gericht te onder-zoeken en als cliënt samen met de masseur te kijken wat het verhaal is wat het lichaam iemand vertelt. Je staat letterlijk stil bij jezelf, je geeft aandacht aan wat is. Wanneer diepere lagen, die in de bodymind worden vastgehouden (en waardoor spanningen of klachten ontstaan) weer mogen worden gevoeld, er weer mogen zijn kunnen deze integreren en weer deel uitmaken van de persoon waardoor de spanning in het lichaam niet langer hoeft worden vastgehouden en kan de levensenergie weer vrij gaan stromen.
