PT Paiton Energy is the first and the largest Independent Power Producer (IPP) operating in Indonesia. We currently own and operate three coal-fired power plants at Paiton Power Complex in East Java and provide 2,045MW of power to PT PLN (Persero), which is approximately 6% of total installed capacity in Java Island. Paiton Energy generates approximately 13,500 GWh of electricity per year, which contribute to around 10% of the annual electricity consumption in Java Island. Our power stations deliver reliable source of electricity to PLN under long term Power Purchase Agreements. This USD 800 million project is built near Luwuk, Central Sulawesi. One of the biggest industrial projects in Eastern Indonesia, PAU initiative supports the government’s directive to increase domestic value addition within the country. PAU’s Ammonia plant runs on KBR’s Reforming Exchanger System & Purifier Technology, the leading technology in Ammonia production. This represents its first application in the world, which puts Indonesia at the forefront of Ammonia production worldwide. Construction began in June 2015 and the plant began commercial operations in August 2018.
