Mike Pulman launched the first Pulman site in 1998 in Durham with 17 employees, the business moved into its prime Durham location in 2000 where the head office now employs over 240 members of staff. The family-run business has since grown to become a Top Ten Volkswagen & SEAT retailer, Pulman opened a second Volkswagen site in Sunderland in 2008, became a SKODA authorised repairer at Durham in 2009 and opened a SEAT dealership in Sunderland 2010. Pulman also acquired a SKODA dealership in July 2014, based in Durham. In 2019 Pulman SEAT became 1 of only 22 CUPRA Specialists across the UK and underwent a six-figure showroom refurbishment & is now known as Pulman SEAT & CUPRA. Pulman started the new year of 2020 off the right way & acquired SKODA Cramlington (formally known as Silbury SKODA). In August 2021, Pulman Group opened their third SKODA site in Sunderland, increasing the number of branches owned by Pulman to six!
