Since our start in 1973, we have played a critical role in supporting the provision of free legal services by ensuring that our Network of legal aid organizations have the resources, training, and funding they need to grow and thrive. The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association was organized in 1928. As part of a national integrated network of trucking associations and affiliates, we identify the key issues that impact the trucking industry and fight to preserve and strengthen the trucking industry and its jobs in each of the 67 counties and 2,567 municipalities in Pennsylvania, and with our elected officials in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. The mission of the Pennsylvania Philharmonic is to present the highest quality orchestral performances throughout Pennsylvania. More than half of these performances will take place in schools directly benefiting students in underserved rural and urban areas outside the cities of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Additional public Classical and Pops programs are performed in multiple communities around the State sharing unique accessible concert experiences with audiences of all ages. The Pennsylvania Philharmonic and its music director Michael Butterman will bring the magic of a symphony orchestra performance to school districts throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania in a series of concerts specially designed for students in grades 4 - 8 this fall. Students will experience and assist in creating a 50-minute interactive symphony concert designed especially for them, highlighting accessible music from Classical to Jazz to Pops. Butterman, nationally recognized for innovative programming and his commitment to audience and community engagement, says there is only a positive impact on a young person by providing them access to music. The initial interactive concert program is entitled Stories and Legends, introducing the students to works by some of the greatest classical composers including Rimsky-Korsakov, Grieg, Rossini, Bernstein, Berlioz and others. In addition to working in the school districts the Pennsylvania Philharmonic will perform public Classical and Pops concerts in a number of the same communities. The season begins with a program entitled “Fascinatin’ Rhythms: Gershwin, Copland, Ravel & More…” celebrates the concept of rhythm through compositions of composers including Higdon, Ginastera, Ravel, Copland and Gershwin. The concert features renowned pianist Simone Dinnerstein performing both Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue” and Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G.

From Bucks County to Erie County, the PA State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) has been serving boroughs across the Commonwealth for more than 100 years. PSAB represents the 957 boroughs that are home to more than 2.6 million residents. PSAB is a non-profit and non-partisan association, operated by the boroughs of the Commonwealth, to promote effective local government practices. Pennsylvania’s boroughs – urban to rural - band together to create effective change in our communities. Today, boroughs represent 37.5 percent of all municipal governments in the Commonwealth. An average of 15 boroughs exists per county and nearly 25 percent of the state’s population resides in these communities. For perspective, more people live in Pennsylvania boroughs than live in the states of Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming, combined. PSAB’s primary objectives are to provide legislative/regulatory representation at both the state and federal levels; to promote constructive and cooperative relationships among boroughs and between PSAB and other levels of government; to deliver training and technical assistance to borough officials; and to provide cost-effective programs and services.
