The Queensland Cardiovascular Group (QCG) continues to offer quality cardiac healthcare after more than 25 years in practice. QCG was established in 1993 with the vision of providing comprehensive investigative cardiac services and state-of-the-art treatment options to patients throughout Queensland. Since then, QCG has pioneered and set the benchmark for group cardiology services in Queensland, proudly remaining an independent, patient orientated practice focused on excellence in cardiovascular care. As leaders in their fields, our 24 cardiologists provide experienced and compassionate clinical assessment using cutting-edge technologies to provide patients and referring doctors with a quality integrated service. Because we are such a diverse group, consisting of cardiac electrophysiologists (heart rhythm specialists), interventional cardiologists, imaging and CT cardiologists, patients can easily be referred within the group to the most appropriate specialist. At QCG, patient experience is our primary focus. Our patients all receive individualised attention by cardiologists, nurses, scientists, technicians and office staff – it's a team effort. We ensure best practices and optimal outcomes through timely evaluations and early tailored interventions. We offer easy access to appointments with comprehensive services available on a local-level, giving patients faster access to a better service in a convenient location. Our group prides itself on being culturally diverse, with the ability to offer consultations and diagnostic testing in a multitude of languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese, with a translator on-hand if required. We aim to work with our referring practitioners to meet their individual requirements, and those of their patients, to foster long-term relationships. We try to facilitate all urgent requests, and promise a quick turnaround with same-day appointments and reliable test results. We provide around-the-clock support to our referring practitioners, with emergency contact numbers and on-call cover 24 hours a day, every day of the year. General practitioners are also provided online education and support to remain up to speed on the services we provide, and we are committed to their continuing development through our bi-annual conferences. We are the longest established independent group of cardiologists in Queensland. We established the first private electrophysiology (heart rhythm) service in Queensland, and one of the first in Australia. We were the first in the private sector to offer pacemaker implants and defibrillator implants and TAVI, among many other "firsts". In association with our preferred hospitals, we have equipment that’s not available to any other hospital in the southern hemisphere, assisting us to provide unique services to patients and lead the way in cardiac management.
