RVCDS quality services and support to children, families and the early childhood community. RVCDS houses a variety of regional and statewide programs, which include: the Family Child Care Food Program, Child Care Resource and Referral programs covering 20 counties (Connect, Choices, Link), WV Birth to Three Regional Administrative Units (RAU 3 and RAU 4) covering 12 counties, and the statewide WV Early Childhood Training Connections and Resources.

Nestled against the majestic Bow River in Northwest Calgary, River Valley School is a unique co-educational elementary and pre-school, with two distinct streams - Progressive and Montessori. River Valley School is also the sole provider of Arrowsmith Programming in Alberta. The Progressive stream is a pedagogical approach incorporating inquiry-based learning with low student-teacher ratios, and a scheduled and diverse school day.The Montessori stream differs in approach, offering mixed-age classrooms and following the child within a prepared environment authentic to Montessori principles. Both streams provide students with specialist instruction in specific environments for the fine arts, language, and physical education. For the family of a SIDS victim, the unexplained nature of the death is beyond heartbreaking; the unanswered questions exacerbate and prolong the grief. River's Gift was established in November 2011 by two devastated yet focused and determined parents who were searching for answers surrounding the death of their 4 month old son, River. It has now evolved into a global movement, with thousands of supporters across the world and a dedicated research partnership with Harvard Medical School, Boston and The University of Adelaide; with an overall aim of Stamping Out SIDS.
