Robert College is the oldest continually-running American school founded outside the US. The school was established in 1863 by the initiative of Dr. Cyrus Hamlin and a wealthy merchant Christopher Rhinelander Robert. Inspired by a big heart and brain, the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation was created in 2013 in the memory of 18-year-old Robert Connor Dawes (who lost a 16-month fight against brain cancer). Today, brain cancer is the most fatal of all childhood cancers. Few new effective treatments mean that 80% of children diagnosed with high grade tumours still lose their battle within five years.  We're battling paediatric brain cancer and supporting brain matters in the areas of research, care and development in Australia & the United States. This involves contributing funds to brain tumour research, supporting young people with at home rehabilitation therapy, as well as development initiatives inspiring the next generation of brain cancer practitioners & researchers.  We’re all about changing the odds, to make brain tumours go the way of the dinosaurs and to support the science and in the meantime the patients. Our primary focus is on our portfolio of Howell Mountain wines (predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon) hailing from our two estate vineyards on Howell Mountain totaling 35 planted acres. We also produce iconic selections from our Amentet Vineyard on Mount Veeder, Affinity Cabernet from Coombsville, and Spring Mountain District and Diamond Mountain District Cabernets from single vineyards.
