Rochester School is a Green Glasser Quality School, private, Catholic, coed and bilingual Pre-K to 12th Grade school, located in Chía, Colombia. Rochester School has been in operation since February 1959, year in which was authorized by the Ministry of Education to dedicate the Institution for educational purposes. Our guiding statements are inspiring and encourage all members of the school community to give their best and be kind and respectful. Our school’s institutional purpose, Inspiring and educating students to take charge of their lives with the world in mind, fosters the development of autonomy, global citizenship, sustainable thinking, responsibility, internal control and the application of knowledge to daily life situations learning to value competent and quality work. Rochester School for the Deaf provides exemplary opportunities in a bilingual environment to meet students’ unique learning. Together, as a community, RSD challenges and prepares students for participation in the ever-changing world by: -creating an environment that empowers academic achievement, enables communication, and enriches social engagement; -using both proven and innovative programming along with current technologies; and, -nurturing students in mind, body, and spiritedness culminating in self-awareness, cultural identity and pride. RSD is a private, state-funded school. It is one of eleven Section 4201 New York State Schools created by legislation to provide educational services to children who are deaf, blind, or physically disabled.

Founded in 1966 by the late Roshi Philip Kapleau, author of The Three Pillars of Zen, the Rochester Zen Center is one of the oldest and largest organizations dedicated to the practice of Zen Buddhism in this country. In 1986 Bodhin Kjolhede was formally installed as Roshi Kapleau's Dharma-successor and Abbot of the Center. Roshi Kjolhede continues to lead the Zen Center today. The Zen Centers activities include introductory workshops, daily meditation sessions, a residential training program, and retreats at the Zen Centers Chapin Mill Retreat Center near Batavia, New York. Affiliate groups and sister centers are located in Madison, Chicago, Cleveland, Mexico City, Stockholm, Berlin, Helsinki, and Auckland.

Rochester-Bern Executive Programs (RoBe) is the Swiss subsidiary of the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester (NY, U.S.) and cooperates closely with the University of Bern (CH). The collaboration started with the Rochester-Bern Executive MBA in 1994 and has been extended to company-specific programs for SBB, UBS Wealth Management, BEKB, as well as open-enrolment programs. A more recent program is the CAS in General Management for Boards of Directors. The University of Rochester is one of the leading private universities in the United States. Its faculty and alumni have included 12 Nobel Prize and 13 Pulitzer Prize winners. The Simon Business School is one of the seven schools that make up the University of Rochester. It looks back on over 50 years of experience in the Executive MBA market. The University of Bern is one of ten universities in Switzerland and has a distinguished reputation in economics. The cooperation with the University of Rochester goes back to the early 1970s. Established in 1985 Rochesters Chartered Accountants has been in the St. Paul’s Jewellery Quarter area for thirty years and is headed up by the founder Stephen Rochester & Peter Hewston, Stephen’s business partner together with twenty full-time staff .
