Its something we see every day children healing because theyre surrounded by their families. And while Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for Oklahoma families who stay for thousands of nights with us each and every year. Since we opened our doors in 1984, we have never closed them. We have been helping children with illnesses and injuries cope better by keeping their families together at our two Ronald McDonald Houses and our Ronald McDonald Family Room. By providing them with a home away from home and a place where they can be together, we help our families find strength in numbers.

Since 1985, the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia has been a "home away from home" for families of children receiving medical treatment in our community. The Ronald McDonald House offers a temporary home that can relieve the stress, financial hardship and loneliness that is often added to the trauma of illness.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southwest Florida creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and their families in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties. We provide impact through three core programs: -The Ronald McDonald House® provides lodging, meals, and other supportive services; -The Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Golisano Children’s Hospital provides food, laundry facilities, and a relaxation area; -The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program provides dental care through our partnership with two health care providers to underserved children. Of the 48 RMHC Care Mobile programs worldwide, we proudly have 2 to serve our community.

The mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is to provide a “Home Away from Home” and resources to children and their families.

We believe that families heal better together. Since 1990, we have been a place of hope and healing when families felt alone. We provide care, comfort, community and a free place to stay so families can focus on what's most important - the health of their child. Our Mission: Keeping families together who travel to Grand Rapids when their child is receiving medical or mental health treatment in the hospital. Our Vision: We envision a community where all families have access to quality healthcare and can heal together as a family.

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Washington, DC (RMHCDC) eases the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children. RMHCDC addresses the most urgent needs of our community – Children’s Health. The Problem and Our Purpose: Faced with a child’s illness life stops overnight and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s an added stress - Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars. Being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience. Help even more families stay close through the biggest challenge of their lives. Together, we can do big things. While RMHCDC cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, we can help lessen the burden and ensure thousands of families a year have the stability and resources they need to keep their child healthy and happy. We believe that an oasis of comfort in a sea of chaos is as powerful as any medication. We believe that a home is more than four walls and a roof over your head. It is the intangible magic that transpires in moments shared together. We believe in building a global community that finds strength, hope and courage in embracing healing as a joyous experience.

The Ronald McDonald House Charity provides accommodation, care and support for families when their children are seriously and long-term ill in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Keeping parents and siblings comfortable and close to their sick child, means the family can stay together, close to the hospital care and medical community that their child needs. Here at RMHC we believe that for every sick child there is a ‘sick’ family. While the medical experts look after the sick child, it is our role to wrap ourselves around that family and create a warm, loving, homely and peaceful environment where they can be a family and have some downtime while their child is sick in hospital over a very long period of time.
