Damit legten die Gründungsväter den Grundstein der RWW Rheinisch-Westfälische Wasserwerksgesellschaft mbH und schufen ein bis heute beispielhaftes Versorgungskonzept. Es verbindet die Vorteile einer kommunalen Orientierung mit denen eines regionalen Wirtschaftsunternehmens - ein frühes Modell öffentlich-privater Partnerschaft. Das Wissen um Wasser, um seine Aufbereitung und die Versorgung der Menschen mit dem lebensnotwendigen Gut ist heute wertvoller denn je.
