SEM as a company has come a long way from our origins in 1914, building rotating electrical equipment for telephone exchanges, into a world class spindle and servomotor manufacturer supplying customers that provide machinery to every industrialised country in the world. SEM is also on a journey of cultural change, putting people at the centre of everything we do, and building an environment where respect and self-improvement are celebrated. We strive for excellence in our work, with the ultimate mission to provide the best quality servomotors on time to our customers. We know that the best way to achieve this is by having the right people and investing in them so they reach their full potential. We recently had our efforts in this area recognised with a Bronze Investors in People Award. We design, manufacture and supply servomotors to drive system integrators and large OEMs worldwide. SEMs core products are servo and spindle motors. These motors are used in motion control applications such as machine tools, robots, printing, packaging and process equipment where accurate control and positioning are required. SEM as a company is unique; and it is the talent and excellence of our staff that keeps us in our world class position. In fact, our business model, named TogetherBetter, grew out of a people engagement initiative designed to empower everyone at SEM with the knowledge, skills and autonomy for them to excel in their roles. Sem Transformator started activities and manufacturing transformers in 1980. By the professional founders’ experience and the team’s harmony, Sem has become one of the most important companies in the sector. Since 1993, the production is done by the TSE (Turkish Standards Institute) certificate. With the references of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001, the company proved its success and quality. During the progress, the company focused on pre-sales services, production, after-sales assistance, and customer satisfaction and then in 2010, moved to its new plant which has a bigger production capacity and fitted with technologic types of equipment. Today, Sem Transformator has established its brand name in the local market and its place on an international platform by exporting to more than 65 different countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

O sistema de abastecimento de água de Mogi das Cruzes foi criado em 1929, com captação de água da Serra do Itapety, distribuindo água ao núcleo urbano da cidade, na época com menos de 18.000 habitantes. Em 1957 foi inaugurado o Sistema de Captação de água a partir do rio Tietê, além da Estação de Tratamento de Água. Com crescimento da cidade, em novembro de 1966 foi criado o Serviço Municipal de Águas e Esgotos como entidade Autárquica, responsável pelo abastecimento de água do Município.
