La Semitan est une SEM (société d’économie mixte) détenue à 65% par Nantes Métropole et à 35% par des acteurs privés (Transdev, Caisse d’Epargne, CCI, associations). Liée par un contrat de délégation de service public avec Nantes Métropole, la Semitan exploite le réseau de transport en commun de l’agglomération nantaise. Elle est également mandatée pour construire, rénover et sécuriser le réseau. Elle est aussi en charge de la coordination de toutes les mobilités de l’agglomération nantaise.
