Established under the direction, guidance, and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, it is the official conduit responsible for all media and communication activities related to Sharjah’s governing bodies and the emirate as a whole. An independent body, Sharjah Government Media Bureau empowers government communication and encourages the communication of uniform messages. It adopts a mature and responsible strategy inspired by the wisdom of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, which is consistent with the UAE’s federal media policy and regulations, and adherent to the emirate’s authentic culture. The ultimate function of Sharjah Government Media Bureau is to highlight the emirate’s ongoing progress and development as the region’s media and cultural hub. To achieve this end, Sharjah Government Media Bureau facilitates a dialogue for and with Sharjah’s government institutions and the media to elevate Sharjah’s status among the Arab and international media. In doing so, Sharjah Government Media Bureau provides a meeting point for media professionals to network with senior decision-makers in Sharjah and exchange valuable views on topical issues. The idea of Sharjah Government Media Bureau was born out of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The Bureau was established by an Amiri Decree, which states that Sharjah Government Media Bureau is an independent government body, created to reinforce Sharjah’s presence on the local, regional and global media landscapes while ensuring the accuracy of the information disseminated. The Amiri Decree also stated that the bureau will be entirely responsible for all media related activities that involve the offices of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and all of the emirate’s government authorities.

Sharjah Indian School was established under Indian Association Sharjah, both founded by Mr V Damodar in 1979. The School started on 3rd September 1979 with 346 pupils from Nursery to 5th Standard and 13 teachers. It was expanded the very next year to 8th Standard and CBSE approval was obtained. The first batch of students appeared for CBSE examination when the School was just four years 'young' and obtained 100% success. Sharjah Indian School was the first of its kind and supported education of children of especially the middle class expatriates. The institution has been growing to become the largest School of its type outside India.
Sharjah Ladies Club is one of the government organizations of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, run under the patronage of The Wife of Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club. Since its establishment in 1982, the club has been dedicated to provide leisurely and educational facilities and activities to the privileged women and children. It is envisaged that SPAA will be the leading conservatoire in the region, offering quality undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in Production Arts, Acting and Musical Theatre. The purpose-built, state of the art facilities of the Academy opened its doors to its first cohort of aspiring and talented students from Sharjah, the UAE, and the region in September 2019.
