Signal Analysis Lab (SAL) is a Norwegian company specializing in safety and condition monitoring solutions for industrial environments. A spin-off from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SAL offers a range of services, including airborne dust monitoring systems and industrial data analytics platforms.   The company comprises a team of experts with electronics, signal processing, software development, and metallurgy backgrounds. Signal was founded in 1967 in a store in Copenhagen, Denmark under the name of Buksesnedkeren. From the beginning the Buksesnedkeren concept was unisex trousers and leisurewear. In 1973 the brand moved the production from Copenhagen to a newly built factory in Gilleleje, where all garments were designed and manufactured. The brand name Buksesnedkeren was renamed Signal in 1996. The focus shifted from being a well-known brand in Denmark to building up a concept and a brand aimed at the international retail scene with both own retail stores and a wholesale business. In 2009 the Signal brand was acquired by the management of the company together with a group of private investors and in the end of 2009 the company moved from Gilleleje to its own new premise in Kvistgård close to Copenhagen.

Signal Culture is a brand new media arts organization. We recently incorporated as a NY State nonprofit and are working toward 501(c)3 status.We will provide residencies, exhibition opportunities, and resources to artists, researchers, and innovators in the field of experimental media art. We want to create an environment where innovative artists, toolmakers, curators, critics, hackers, and art historians who are contributing to the field of media art will have time and space to create and to interact with one another. We hope to host soon 3 to 4 residents at a time for periods of a week to 2 months in central New York state. We will also generate, over time, a research center, traveling exhibitions, publications and interview podcasts. Signal Culture was founded by Jason Bernagozzi and Debora Bernagozzi in 2012.
