Simplex Projects (SPL) was incorporated in the year 1990 as a public limited company. The registered office of the company at Kolkata controls project sites all over India. In a decade of its working SPL has emerged as a renowned civil engineering and construction company. The company has procured a fleet of construction equipment over this period. It got listed in the Bombay and National Stock Exchange in 2007 at Rs 180 and the stock prices reached its peak at Rs 480. Simplex Projects has complete access to technical collaborations with International construction giants for advanced techniques and research facilities in construction. Company possess some of the best engineering skills and that led it to have in its fold many 'First time in India'​ credits in the field of civil and mechanical construction. The company also has the second largest fleet of piling rigs in eastern part of the country, besides several other top class construction equipments and machineries. Recently, Simplex has bagged its first overseas housing project worth Rs 2,000 crore in Libya. This project has been awarded by the Libyan goverment as a public works contract. The project includes construction of public building, schools, health centres, mosque, community hall and shopping complex. This contract win heralds the expansion of SPL globally

I started my first company, Simply Computers, with one idea in mind; ‘PCs Made Simple’. That single idea was to take the complexity out of technology for the average person, and leave the high-tech babble to the professionals; just explain it in layman’s terms so that we could all understand. Well here we are 10 years later, and somewhere along the way, we became the professionals. But through that growth, we have never lost sight of who we were and where we wanted to go. That one single idea still drives us every day. Our job, and our mission is to make the IT world attainable and understandable to everyone. Originally, it was just me, running around after work, helping people fix their computers; sometimes into the wee hours of the night. And then one client became two, then five, then ten, and then more and more. Until one day I realized I needed to hire a staff. And then we started adding services because that’s what the market demanded. No longer were we just a computer company. We suddenly found ourselves knee deep in the world of technology. I thought we could be more. We didn’t have to be just another computer repair company, but a full service IT and Design Technology Company. I knew just what to do. I looked and found the right people I wanted to join me in this venture. And I approached a few of my longtime colleagues with this crazy idea of joining my company and forming a new business strategy. Today we call ourselves Simplex Technologies, Inc.
