We are a young company and we are growing (rapidly :) ). We have very few experienced professionals, and many young engineers. We know we have to train the new group of people so that they take up the responsibilities tomorrow. We would like to engage one of our key personals in each project we are doing in the company as a full/part time basis. The key person will bring in resources as required for the project, need to ensure proper review of the deliverables, and maintain quality and standard. We are fully aware of the possibilities of re-doing some of the work, mainly because we engage young engineers in doing some of the work under proper supervision. Sometimes we require to engage additional pair of eyes for same work pair and peer programming. This in turn puts us in a comfortable state in the sense that the knowledge is always retained in the group.
