Singapore Swimming Club is a premier members-only recreational club founded in 1894. Located in exclusive prime residential district Tanjong Rhu, the Club is fringed by serenity, yet merely minutes away from the city centre. Spanning over more than 30,000 square metres of beautiful landscaped gardens, Singapore Swimming Club is the country’s largest non-golfing recreational club. The Club has a variety of sporting facilities, including two Olympic-size pools and one training pool for children as well as tennis, squash and badminton courts. It also has a fully equipped gym and a 10-lane bowling centre. The Club’s 11 F&B outlets cater to different gastronomic preferences and palates. As a family club, Singapore Swimming Club regularly organises an array of recreational and social activities suitable for members of all ages.

The Singapore Symphony Group is Singapore's flagship classical music company. The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is the world’s first Design AI university. With Design AI, artificial intelligence is treated as a partner and a member of the team – not just a tool. As a result of this unique SUTD treatment, AI and humans brainstorm, spar and prototype together, resulting in solutions that are elevated several-fold. This human-AI team concept has been made possible because of SUTD’s unique cohort-based interdisciplinary pedagogy – which has been in place since the University’s formation in 2009. As a trailblazer in the field of design and technology education and research, SUTD has been pioneering innovative programmes and initiatives since our inception – including launching the world’s first Design and AI degree in 2020 – well before AI was even a buzzword. The success of that pioneering degree has set the stage for a new growth strategy called SUTD Leap, which was launched in March 2024. Here, SUTD aims to redesign higher education with an even greater focus on design and AI, whilst nurturing the next generation of human-centric design x tech innovators and innovator leaders.

Since its inception in 1977, the Singapore Wind Symphony (SWS) has played a central role in the development of the wind band music scene in Singapore. First established as the National Theatre Symphony Band (NTSB), it was the first amateur Symphonic Band in Singapore comprising musicians from all walks of life, many of whom go on to become music teachers and band instructors in Singapore. The SWS has worked with many locally and internationally renowned conductors and soloists including, Mitsuo Nonami (Japan), Ho Hwee Long (Singapore), Mr. Luk Hoi Yui (China), Hardy Mertens (Netherlands), Jan Van der Roost (Belgium), Satoshi Yagisawa (Japan), Dick Lee (Singapore), Johan De Meij (Netherlands) and Joseph Alessi (USA). The band has also participated in numerous international competitions such as a prestigious World Music Contest in 1992 where it received the Gold award and was the top scorer in the Symphonic Band division, and once again in 2001 when it won the First Prize in the First Division. The band has also represented Singapore internationally at the Janitsjarfestivalen in Hamar, the Conference of the Asia Pacific Band Directors Association (APBDA) and has performed in such renowned locations as the Sydney Opera House, the Hong Kong Academy of the Performing Arts (HKAPA) and the Esplanade Concert Hall. In 2013, the SWS will be featured in the finale concert of the 8th Annual Taiwan International Clinic in Taipei presenting the Asian premiere of Johan De Meijs Symphony No. 4 Symphony of Songs under the baton of the composer. For more than three decades, the SWS has represented the highest level of music making in wind music in Singapore and has earned an international reputation as an ensemble of excellence. Under the leadership of its current Music Director Adrian Tan since 2012, the SWS embarked on the journey to champion and promote the music of Singaporean composers, and extending from that vision, to be an advocate for wind band music by local, Southeast Asian and Asian composers. Since then, the SWS has commissioned and given the world premiere of more than 50 original compositions and arrangements, working with more than 25 local composers. Many of these works have already found their way into the repertoire of local and international school and community bands. Singapore Wind Symphony is a recipient of the National Arts Councils Major Grant from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2017.

"Singapore Women's Network believes that building social networks is the best way to empower women." The Singapore Womens Network is a forum bringing together professional women in Singapore. Founded in 2010, SWN has established a network of about a 1000 members, which continues to grow, develop and diversify; across industries. The SWN committee is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers who has successfully implemented a program of regular networking gatherings, social dinners, and conferences with female leaders across industries. What makes us unique? - There is no membership fee, its an open network. - Most events are free. When paid, events are less than SGD 50. - As professionals, we aim at building strong business relationships. - But we also care; we support a couple of charities and environmental organisations. Our aim: - Getting women together in order to leverage on each others' experiences and form a stronger female professional community in Singapore. - Have fun and be energised through networking events that allows you to meet new people. - Give back whenever it is possible.
