The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland works to improve the lives of those most in need with special attention to families, women and children living in poverty. The foundation works to end homelessness in Cuyahoga County and to reduce health and education disparities in Cleveland’s Central Neighborhood. As a faith-based organization, the foundation extends the values of Jesus Christ through the mission of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine and also works to sustain the ministries of women religious.

Founded in Finthen, Germany, in 1851, the Sisters of Divine Providence is an international congregation of three provinces (Germany, United States-Caribbean, Korea) and one mission (Peru) with approximately 400 vowed members and 1,000 Associates. The Sisters of Mercy Services Corporation exists to assist the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas South Central Community in the healing ministry of Jesus. The mission of the Sisters of Mercy is to continue the founding vision of Catherine McAuley to serve the needs of people who are poor, sick and uneducated, and to do so in a community centered in God. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange are a congregation of Catholic women who tear down walls that divide and build bridges that unite so that all people may be united with God and one another. To bring about this unity, we go into the community, assess the needs of the people, and partner with others to meet those needs using any work of mercy that may be within our power.

We are one of the largest Benedictine communities of women in the United States — 135 members strong and thriving. We were founded in 1867 by four young Benedictine sisters who came to Ferdinand to teach the children of area settlers. Since then, more than 1,000 women have entered our community and we've expanded our ministries both beyond education and beyond Ferdinand. We are teachers, social workers, parish ministers, counselors, nurses, youth ministers, chaplains, librarians, and more.

As Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross, our lives in Community are rooted in the Cross, Word, and Eucharist. Guided by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, we compassionately respond to the needs of our times through prayer, presence and hospitality. Our founding dates back 150 years when Crosier Father Edward Daems came from Belgium and traveled several counties in Northeast Wisconsin to care for and to educate immigrants who spoke either Dutch, English, French or German. Needing help, Father Daems asked two Dominican novices, Christine Rousseau and Pauline La Plante, if they could assist him. Within a short time, Sister Pius Doyle and Sister Mary Van Lanen joined them and committed their lives to the people and Church of Northeast Wisconsin in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield is a Congregation of about 200 women who have taken vows to serve the people of God, “our dear neighbor” in dozens of communities throughout New England. Our Sisters minister in schools, prisons, health facilities, social service agencies and parishes and along with our lay Associates, Agregees and Partners in Mission, work to further the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph, that all may be one with each other and with God.

To seek out and advocate for the poor and needy, especially families, for the Kingdom of God The Holy Family Sisters began in 1872 when Elizabeth Armer of San Francisco and Father John Joseph Prendergast founded the community to serve the poor and needy. Helping women, children and poor families has remained steadfast while the Sisters have updated their ministry with new programs and projects to address social ills that continue to affect the impoverished. The Holy Family Sisters and their associates current ministries include , Grief counseling, religious education, childcare, canon law, social work, personal growth and spiritual direction, & prison ministry. As the community ages and more Sisters retire, the communitys work continues in other ways, said Sister Michaela OConnor, the community archivist. They provide financial resources to charitable ministries and serve on the boards of their day homes. There are always ways to serve, she pointed out. The Church needs lots of stuff done.
