Konkursboet blir overtatt av Nic Thomassen. 1978: Gartnerhallen kjøper alle aksjene i Grimstad Konservesfabrik. 1980: Grimstad Konservesfabrik overtar all produksjon fra Grimstad Eddikkbryggeri A/L. 1987: Grimstad Konservesfabrik overtar all produksjon fra Heistad Fabrikker A/S. 1996: Gartnerhallen selger 50 % av aksjene i Grimstad Konservesfabrik til NorgesGruppen. 1998: GRO Industrier etableres. Eiere var Bama med 75% og Gartnerhallen med 25%. 2006: Findus Norge AS kjøper Gro Industrier AS og Grimstad Konservesfabrik følger med i transaksjonen. 2011: Grimstad Konservesfabrik blir kjøpt av Jan Rommetveit, Øivind Moen og IKM Invest og skifter navn til Grimstad Konserves AS. 2012: Onsdag 12.12.2012 kl. 12.12 skiftet Grimstad Konserves AS navn til Smaken av Grimstad AS. 2014: Smaken av Grimstad kjøper 90,1% av aksjene i Grønt Partner. 2016: I oktober 2016 ble resten av aksjene i Grønt Partner overtatt. 2017: Smaken av Grimstad feirer 100 år!
