Snellmanin Lihanjalostus Oy on pietarsaarelainen perheyritys, joka on valmistanut korkealaatuisia liha- ja leikkeletuotteita jo yli 60 vuotta. Yritys kuuluu Snellman-konserniin. ALKU Snellmanin veljekset perustivat yrityksen, koska he halusivat tehdä parempaa makkaraa. He totesivat, että pitää tehdä itse jos haluaa hyvää. SUOMALAINEN LIHA Puhdas, suomalainen liha on meille raaka-aine, jota arvostamme yli kaiken. Se on tuotteidemme perusta. Sian- ja naudanliha tuotetaan omilla perhetiloiltamme suomalaisella maaseudulla. Perhetiloilla laadun tekijöinä toimivat Suomen tyytyväisimmät tuottajat. Haluamme säilyttää tämän kaiken mahdollisimman luonnollisena. Pyrimme jatkuvasti kohti yhä luonnollisempia tuotteita käyttämällä mm. vähemmän lisäaineita ja GM-vapaa porsaan- ja naudanliha on osa tätä kokonaisuutta. LAADUN ARVOSTUS Meillä laadunvalvonta on sisäänrakennettu työkulttuuriin ja jokainen työntekijä ottaa siitä vastuun. Ymmärrämme laadun merkityksen. Olemme itse omien tuotteidemme suurimpia kriitikkoja ja käyttäjiä, joten on helppo ymmärtää, että kun tehdään myös itselle, halutaan tehdä niin hyvin kuin osataan. Täällä pidetään selvästi huolta siitä, että työpäivän päätteeksi voi hyvillä mielin hakea vaikkapa rasian itse pakattua tuoretta lihaa kaupasta tietäen, että se on varmasti hyvää kun sen on itse tehnyt. HYVÄT TEOT PALKITAAN Uskallamme väittää, että olemme vaikuttaneet viime vuosien toimenpiteillä merkittävästi suomalaisten tietoisuuteen siitä miten lihatuotteet tehdään, kun ne tehdään kunnolla. Snellmaniin ja tuotteisiimme yhdistetään keskustelussa ja mielikuvissa vahvasti edelläkävijyys, luonnollisuus, kotimaisuus, rehellisyys, avoimuus ja tahto tehdä oikein.
