South Valley Services is a nonprofit agency located in West Jordan, Utah offering a variety of services for victims and survivors of domestic violence. Our services are delivered in three locations: a confidential shelter and two Community Resource Centers located in West Jordan City Hall and newly opened in Riverton. SVS includes a domestic violence shelter that serves men, women, and children who are victims of domestic abuse and sex trafficking with a 24-hour hot line and advocacy services, emergency shelter and supportive services (case management, counseling, psycho-educational groups, therapy and the Children’s Learning Center.The shelter has 12 rooms and 57 beds. Residents must be a victim of domestic violence as defined by the state of Utah and in immediate danger in order to qualify for our services. The shelter offers short-term crisis shelter, however residents stay with us as long as needed while continuing to work on their goals and actions plans, that will lead to self sufficiency. Families DO NOT share rooms, regardless of the circumstances to increase sense of safety. Single individuals roommate with other single individuals. The shelter is fully equipped with a large kitchen, internet access and TV lounge, Children's Learning Center, large playground, and sitting area. The rooms are individual units, furnished with beds TVs and DVD players, bathrooms and linens. The shelter also provides, food, clothing, school supplies, laundry supplies, and over-the-counter medications. South Valley Services includes offsite Community Resource Centers in West Jordan and Riverton to assist the community with access to varies resources and assistance to help them get back on their feet.
