The Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH) is dedicated to enhancing the safety and quality of OB/GYN Hospital Medicine by promoting excellence through education, coordination of hospital teams and collaboration with healthcare delivery systems. SOGH is also committed to physician well-being through the support and development of the OB/GYN Hospitalist model.

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a non-profit professional association whose more than 158,000 members in 143 countries are engaged in oil and gas exploration and production. SPE is a key resource for technical knowledge providing publications, events, training courses, and online resources. Society of Petroleum Engineers Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Student Chapter (SPE ITS SC) itself was established in 2011. This organization aims to elevate understanding of the world’s energy sources to each one of its elements by exposing them, starts from the basic knowledge until the advanced technologies and recent developments in the industries. SPE ITS SC intents to become the centerpiece of energy, specifically in the oil and gas industry, where our work is demonstrated professionally and proven internationally through unceasing professional competence.

SPE at UT seeks to lead the worlds SPE student chapters and create the most marketable & well-rounded petroleum engineers in the industry. We strive to create and provide opportunities for our students to enhance their technical and professional competence.

The Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines - SPP was formed in June 2000 at the conclusion of the First International Conference on Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines ICPP-1 held in Dijon, France. The first worldwide meeting devoted only to research in the fields of porphyrins and phthalocyanines attended by almost 600 scientists from more than 40 countries. The Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines - JPP had been publishing manuscripts on both porphyrin and phthalocyanine topics since 1997 but there was still very little scientific interaction among the JPP authors or members of the Editorial Board who considered themselves either porphyrin scientists or phthalocyanine researchers and had devoted their careers to research in one of the two fields but not both. Thus, formation of our new society in June 2000 was intended to break down barriers between the two fields of research (and researchers) and further all types of scientific interactions between these two disciplines which at that time were linked by a similar looking macrocycle and a journal but not much more The broad goal of SPP has always been to serve the interests of scientists working in any area of porphyrins, phthalocyanines and related macrocycles, independent of their scientific discipline, be it chemistry, physics, biology, biochemistry or material science. This was done in part by providing the infrastructure and substantial financial support for future ICPP meetings held in Kyoto (2002), New Orleans (2004), Rome (2006), Moscow (2008), New Mexico (2010), Jeju (2012), Istanbul (2014), Nanjing (2016) and next in Munich (2018). SPP not only assisted the local organizers with all aspects of the ICPP meeting organization but also solicited funding for the awarding of 5-6 Lifetime Achievement Awards every two years to highly distinguished senior investigators, 3-4 JPP/SPP Young Investigator Awards to scientists under the age of 40 and numerous grants for students who wished to attend the meeting

Society of Sound is a premier recording and post production company primarily focused on classical music. Since 1987, it has prided itself on producing the highest quality recordings for orchestras, choral and chamber groups and instrumental and vocal soloists. Founded in 1987 by engineer and producer Robert DiVito, the company had its start in the early years of the burgeoning digital revolution and, as such, contributed substantially to the changing audio community while maintaining a firm understanding of traditional technology. Working with orchestras, chamber groups and soloists, Society of Sound’s core strength is in the field of eBroadcasting. Developing large scale media strategies through archival recordings, repurposing live performances for commercial release, internet radio and download/streaming technology are the areas of future growth and position Society of Sound as an industry leader. Society of Sound’s recordings and film work have been heard on the major public and private radio and television broadcasting stations in Canada, the United States and Europe.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is the oldest charity in Chicago serving those in need with basics for human dignity such as food, shelter and clothing. Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender, or political opinions. Two-by-two, our volunteers visit the homes of those who call upon us for help. We see and feel the struggles of our client-friends. We also serve the hungry and homeless at our community dinners and food pantries. We help with utility bills, rent, transportation and a myriad of other services requested by those threatened to slide down into poverty. The Archdiocesan Chicago Council Society of St. Vincent de Paul serves Cook and Lake counties and has over 3,000 Vincentian volunteers operating out of 120 local churches.
