We're the governmental agency that manages all materials discarded within Palm Beach County. We provide collection through contracted haulers in unincorporated Palm Beach County. We create energy, commodities and fertilizer pellets from the waste we receive. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County was established in 1975 by the Florida State Legislature under the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Act, Chapter 2001-331. Its purpose was to establish a governmental agency responsible for providing an economical and environmentally conscious integrated solid waste management system for Palm Beach County, Florida. With approximately 400 employees, the SWA provides solid waste disposal and recycling services and programs to the county's 1.5 million residents and businesses. The SWA is a Dependent Special District governed by the seven elected County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida. It is the policy of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County not to resolve customer complaints or respond to inquiries on social media. Solid'Earth est une association de KEDGE BS, située à Bordeaux. Notre objectif principal est de répondre de manière concrète et durable aux Objectifs du Développement Durable (ODD) définis par l’ONU. Pour cela, nous œuvrons en collaboration avec d’autres associations, qu’elles soient locales, nationales ou encore internationales. Ces différents partenariats se retrouvent dans la diversité des événements et des actions que porte Solid’Earth, don du sang, vide-dressing solidaire, conférences, construction de centre socio-culturel, lutte contre les inégalités, …. Notre engagement est porté par près de 90 membres et 11 projets répartis en deux pôles : Le pôle Solidarité Locale & le pôle Solidarité Internationale. • Le pôle Solidarité Locale vise à sensibiliser les étudiants, mais aussi les bordelais à différentes thématiques cruciales de notre société que sont notamment les problématiques liées au handicap, à la consommation responsable, aux maladies graves ou encore à la mode éthique. Nous avons également un projet qui délivre le label Ecofest pour les événements respectant des critères environnementaux précis (réduction des emballages, de la distance parcourue, du recyclage des déchets, etc). Cette année nous souhaitons lancer un nouveau projet d’immersion complète aux problématiques du développement durable. Il se déroulera en pleine nature durant tout un weekend et conviera une centaine d’étudiants bordelais. • Le pôle Solidarité Internationale qui a pour objectif de défendre des projets solidaires d'entrepreneuriat, de protection environnementale ou encore d'aide aux populations souffrant d'un manque d'accès aux ressources vitales. SOLIDARITAS is an Indonesian social enterprise doubling as a consulting firm. We work with organizations that design and implement development programs to iteratively improve the effectiveness of their work. As a consulting firm, we provide advisory services related to the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as technical implementation support for data collection, analysis, data management, and reporting either as part of ongoing performance monitoring, or as part of one-time evaluations. As part of our consulting work, we also offer several public training courses that introduce participants to key concepts and theory related to monitoring and evaluation, as well as customized in-house trainings. We also offer mentoring and coaching for M&E and program staff that need additional support in implementing M&E processes. Our capacity building process is hands-on and interactive, allowing participants to bring their own cases and use them as the basis for learning that suits their needs. As a social enterprise, we allocate 50% of our total profits to support improvements in public and non-profit management in Indonesia. This includes providing pro-bono or reduced rate consultancy services for strategic clients who have a limited ability to pay for our services (we prioritize local governments and Indonesian NGOs), and various forms of skills development for individuals working on public- and non-profit sector effectiveness.
