S.O.S nace en Córdoba el 24 de Agosto de 1987, ingresando los clientes al servicio a través de un abono prepago. En Marzo de 1990 se concretan los primeros contratos corporativos con compañías de seguros y bancos. El éxito obtenido lleva a sus Directores a instalar la sede de Rosario que se inaugura el 10 de Octubre de 1992. El 1º de Marzo de 1993, comienza la apertura de franquicias y agencias para crear la Red Nacional. El 19 de Marzo de 1995 con la Red nacional en funcionamiento se inaugura la Sede Buenos Aires. A partir de Mayo de 1997 se comienza a cubrir el servicio a terminales automotrices. Con estos logros ya realizados, el objetivo se transformó en convertir a la compañía en una Red de Asistencia, sumando diferentes servicios que asistirán a las personas y a sus bienes. La empresa se consolida en el mercado ampliando su porfolio de prestaciones, como Asistencia al Hogar, Asistencia Náutica y al Viajero. La calidad de servicio brindado, así como la extensión de la Red en todo el país, han permitido a S.O.S alcanzar una participación mayoritaria en este mercado de altísima exigencia tecnológica y de calidad en las prestaciones. SOS Children’s Villages Romania is a non-profit organization devoted to help vulnerable families care for their children. When children have lost their parental support, we provide quality alternative care in SOS families. We operate in Romania through 3 programs in Bucharest, Sibiu (Cisnadie) and Bacau, through which we raise children without families, as well as supporting children at risk of being separated from their biological families. More than 150 children are provided alternative care in 30 Family Houses and 2 Youths’ Facilities (a specialized life skills program) and over 550 children are being helped every year to grow up in their own families. We have a unique approach, focusing on the development of each child or young person over the long term – including their care, health and education – so that they can face life’s challenges in the future. Also, we actively promote and stand up for children‘s rights, through advocacy programs.
