Southeast Surplus Underwriters General Agency, Inc. (Southeast Surplus) is a managing general agency and surplus lines agency. We provide retail agents with a superior source for both standard and non-standard insurance. As a managing general agency, Southeast Surplus provides all of the management, marketing, processing, underwriting and claims functions for Ranchers and Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and Ranchers and Farmers Insurance Company. As a surplus lines agency, Southeast Surplus provides access to Lloyds of London and other non-standard insurance companies providing hard to place coverage for agents in Texas. For three generations we have worked to provide the type of service our customers deserve. The Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation, an economic development organization comprised of the Texas counties of Hardin, Jefferson and Orange, recognized the need to showcase the attributes of this region in a comprehensive, unified fashion. Economic development professionals and stakeholders have joined forces to identify this region as a significant contributor to the economy of not only the State of Texas, but to the United States and the world. Southeast Texas has a long history of stimulating growth with regional economic development efforts. Realizing the need to refocus regional economic development efforts, the SETEDF Board of Director's approved the concept of providing regional economic development services under the umbrella of SETEDF. A steering committee was formed to include economic developers in Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties. SETEDF is a non-profit development company that was formed in 1984 to assist small businesses in the region with long term fixed rate financing for real estate acquisitions, construction and equipment purchases. The Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation is a Certified Development Company and acts as the servicing agent for the U.S. Small Business Administration's 504 Loan Program. SETEDF processes, closes and services a loan portfolio of projects located throughout the State of Texas. It is the goal of the Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation to: "Provide regional economic development services to ensure long term growth and development for the region of Southeast Texas, and the State of Texas, by retaining and maximizing employment while increasing community income."​

Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation (SETH) was established in October 1981 under the authorization of the State of Texas Housing Finance Corporation Act of 1979. This Act empowered the Corporation to issue Revenue Bonds for single family and multifamily housing programs. SETH is a public non-profit housing finance corporation presently sponsored by the following jurisdictions in the Houston-Galveston Regional Planning Area: the counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Liberty, Matagorda, Walker, and Wharton and the cities of Baytown, Deer Park, Dickinson, La Marque, La Porte, League City, Pasadena, Santa Fe, Shoreacres, Texas City and Tomball. As a leader in the housing finance industry, SETH manages many of the available programs in the Houston-Galveston and surrounding markets. The Corporation administers First Time Homebuyer Programs, many local (MCC) Mortgage Credit Certificate Programs and Bond Programs. SETH has offered Homebuyer Education and Pre-purchase Counseling since May 1997 when it became the first Housing Finance Agency in the country to require counseling when utilizing tax-exempt mortgage revenue bond programs. Since then, over four thousand area families have received individualized homeownership counseling. The Corporation will continue to serve first time homebuyers with Predatory Lending Education and Outreach in an effort to combat increasingly aggressive mortgage lending behaviors. Currently, Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation serves over 500 households annually with homebuyer education, down payment and closing cost assistance from local and state HOME programs, low interest mortgage rates from our Mortgage Revenue Bond Program and tax credits from SETH’s Mortgage Credit Certificate Program. The Corporation will continue to seek new opportunities to improve access to affordable housing.

We hold a VR Certificate from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors to perform repairs, testing and certification of safety and safety relief valves. All valves repaired by SVI are verified to meet Factory OEM Specifications, ASME Code Section I and VIII requirements and are backed with a full one (1) year warranty on all parts and labor.
