SPOLANA Neratovice vznikla 1. května 1992 transformací ze státního podniku, ačkoli průmyslový chemický závod funguje v Neratovicích již od 19. století. V současnosti patří mezi nejvýznamnější české společnosti podnikající v chemickém průmyslu. W chwili obecnej SOT zatrudnia około 700 osób. Ponad 80 przedstawicieli handlowych na terenie całego kraju współpracuje bezpośrednio z prawie 8.000 sklepów detalicznych. Wszyscy pracownicy przeszkoleni są w zakresie wdrożenia i utrzymywania systemów Dobrej Praktyki Higienicznej, Systemu Analizy Zagrożeń Zdrowotnych i Krytycznych Punktów Kontrolnych (HACCaP). Siedzibą firmy od początku jej istnienia jest Białystok. SOT posiada 12 lokalizacji na terenie całego kraju: Białystok, Szczecin, Nowa Sól, Sosnowiec, Chorzów, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Kielce, Łódź, Pruszcz Gdański, Kętrzyn.
