San Diego City College has as its highest priority student learning and achievement. The college provides lower division and general education courses that lead to certificates, associate degrees or transfer to a four-year college or university; career technical education programs that meet specific industry needs, upgrade the employment skills of students and fulfill licensing requirements of the state of California as well as contribute to the economic development of our region; basic skills instruction to assist all students in meeting their educational goals; and essential student support services for all students.

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet was founded in 1945 and has been the resident ballet school in Balboa Park ever since. In addition to offering high-quality, affordable, year-round training in the Casa del Prado studios, SDCYB produces three major productions at the Casa del Prado Theater each year: a full-length spring ballet, Fairy Tales in the Park each summer (which benefits the Scholarship Program) and the classic holiday production of The Nutcracker. There is also an annual Spring Showcase of the school and the SDCYB Performance Ensemble (which is comprised of the highest-level dancers) performs at special events throughout the community. SDCYB also brings ballet education to public schools and offers ballet classes for over 650 students through a thriving Outreach Program and offers affordable camps and intensives each summer that stress creativity, as well as technique. The summer programs allow students to study different dance styles, work with guest teachers from around the country and have an opportunity to create their own choreography. SDCYB has a “Ballerina Buddies” program as well which pairs younger dancers with older student mentors and offers special performances of productions for school groups and Girl Scout Troops. As a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), we provide free assistance to the region's small businesses and entrepreneurs in how to do business with government agencies and gain contracts. Our center is an economic development program hosted by the Southwestern Community College District's Center for Business Advancement in National City. We provide free or low-cost training and complimentary one-on-one assistance to help the San Diego, Orange, and Imperial county regions' small businesses and entrepreneurs learn how to do business with federal, state, and local government agencies. Any small business with an office in these counties may receive our services, provided it has a product or service that has reasonable expectation of being procured under government contract or purchase order. The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition advocates for and protects the rights of all people who ride bicycles. We promote bicycling as a mainstream, safe, and enjoyable form of transportation and recreation. Since 1987, we have acted as voice for bicyclists in the region and have advocated for safer streets and hundreds of miles of bike paths, lanes and trails all across the San Diego region. We conduct educational programs, promote awareness of bicyclists and bicycling issues, review infrastructure improvements, and act as a voice for bicyclists to elected officials and decision makers all over San Diego County.

For 41 years, the Holiday Bowl has played a significant economic role in the success of San Diegos tourism industry. The nonprofit San Diego Bowl Game Association fills hotel rooms and provides patrons for restaurants and shops during one of San Diegos slowest tourism weeks of the year. Since its inception in 1978, the San Diego Bowl Game Association has created an impact of more than $900 million for the region. The Holiday Bowl features a match-up between the Pac-12 and Big Ten Conferences.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack is a world-class, multi-use facility, located 20 miles north of downtown San Diego, and operated by the 22nd District Agricultural Association (22nd DAA) of the state of California. The Fairgrounds - including adjacent parking areas - encompasses approximately 340 acres, and our nearby equestrian facility, Horsepark, is an additional 65 acres. The Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack hosts more than 350 events each year. While our most notable events include two summertime favorites - the San Diego County Fair, and the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club's live horse racing, other notable events include the Del Mar National Horse Show, The Scream Zone haunted attraction, the Holiday of Lights, and numerous equestrian events, animal shows, concerts, craft and home/garden shows, consumer events and expos, as well as personal celebrations like weddings, holiday parties, and bar/bat mitzvahs. OUR MISSION: To manage and promote a world-class, multi-use, public assembly facility with an emphasis on agriculture, education, entertainment and recreation in a fiscally sound and environmentally conscientious manner for the benefit of all.
