Stockport Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation or ALMO that took over the management of 11,500 Council homes in Stockport in 2005. Stockport Homes is a multi-award winning not-for-profit organisation that delivers excellent housing services to its customers.

We are no ordinary trust. We hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers. We are an integrated provider of acute hospital and community services to the people of Stockport, as well serving the populations of East Cheshire and the High Peak in North Derbyshire. We offer a number of specialist services and play a key partnership role with Greater Manchester, Stockport and East Cheshire. With an annual budget of around £300 million we provide healthcare for residents in Stockport, East Cheshire and North Derbyshire as well as patients we treat from other boroughs in Greater Manchester who choose our services. Stepping Hill Hospital first opened in 1905 and was a military hospital during the first World War. We now employ over 5,000 staff and were one of the first NHS trusts in the country to achieve foundation trust status in 2004. We are a specialist `hub` centre for emergency and high risk general surgery, one of only four in Greater Manchester and covering the South East sector of our region. Overall responsibility for delivering services rests with the Board of Directors. We are fully committed to being transparent and implementing the principles of Being Open and Honest.

Stockport Progress and Recovery Centre (formerly Stockport Day Centre) is a local voluntary organisation providing support to adults in the Stockport area who experience mental health problems. We offer a range of leisure, therapeutic, educational and social activities and facilities, developed in consultation with our members, in order to promote integration and mental and social well being. The centre was set up as a registered charity in 1985. We employ around12 staff as well as a larger number of volunteers who constitute an important element of the service we provide. The centre is managed by a committee made up of representatives from various local mental health services, including MIND and Making Space, together with members of the centre and other interested persons. We are principally funded by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council Social Services, but a considerable amount is raised annually through fundraising and also from events organised by the centre and its members.

Cannon House is our 127,000 square feet warehouse at The Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, South East London. Formerly the British Library Book Repository Cannon House is a secure warehouse with 26 miles of racking. Our vans make multiple trips into Central London everyday so we can collect any items you need to store and we can guarantee retrieval back into London, when required, within 2 hours. The Stockroom employs zone storage so all your items are kept together in designated areas so you can easily view and take stock of your inventory should you need to. This is relatively unique in the storage industry as many of our competitors empty 'random storage'​ so your items just go on the next shelf hence are dispersed across the warehouse and multiple locations. Our employees have worked in the media industry hence are familiar with film and tape formats and can handle all materials with the care they require.
