Strathcona Mechanical Limited (SML) celebrated 75 years in the construction industry in 2021. The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) is the regional government for five municipalities and four electoral areas located in mid-Vancouver Island. The SRD borders extend from the Oyster River in the south to Gold River, Sayward, Tahsis, Zeballos and Kyuquot-Nootka in the north and west, and east to Cortes Island, Quadra Island and the Discovery Islands as well as a portion of the adjacent mainland north of Powell River. The office is located in the City of Campbell River. The Strathcona Regional District was established on February 15, 2008, as a result of the provincial government's restructure of the Comox Strathcona Regional District.

Andre Strathmann founded Strathmann HR in 2015 as a provider for HR Management services and consultancy. He utilizes his broad experience best in agile business environments, such as quickly growing start-ups or newly established foreign affiliates in Germany. Key for Andre is to find the right balance between structure and flexibility for HR Management for each customer.
